Giambattista Valli is an Italian fashion designer, whose collections, both ready to wear and haute couture, are presented semi-annually during Paris Fashion Week.

Born in Rome in 1966, Giambattista Valli’s upbringing was steeped in art and influence. With a familial tie to Pope Pius IX, he received his education within the Vatican’s confines, immersing himself in the drawings of the famous Jean Cocteau, illustrations of René Gruau, and the vibrant color palette of Yves Saint Laurent. Pursuing his passion, Valli embarked on formal training at the European Institute of Design in Rome and later at London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Upon his return to Rome, Valli honed his skills under the guardianship of prominent designers, including Cecilia Fanfani and Roberto Capucci, the latter of whom he credited with providing him the most invaluable education. Valli later established himself as a solo artist with the brassy "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," and balanced his own music career with various versions of the Four Seasons. In 1975, he struck gold in the disco era with a string of hits, including "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" and the theme to "Grease" (1978). His vast body of work kept him in the publi
