Lanny Davis is the founder of the Washington, D.C., law firm, Lanny J. Davis & Associates and a lawyer who counsels individuals, corporations, and others on crisis management and legal issues. Before his tenure as special counsel to President Clinton, Lanny was a commercial, antitrust, government contracts and False Claims Act litigator (both in defense as well as plaintiff). He has argued numerous appellate cases in the U.S. courts of appeals. He served as a partner in DC-based Patton Boggs & Blow for 24 years and in Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe for six years. His law practice and experience included commercial contracts, antitrust and government contracts litigation, public affairs counseling and lobbying, and state and local litigation, media and public affairs advice, and lobbying.
