Sarah Ruth Snook[1] was born on December 1, 1987,[2] in Adelaide, South Australia, and was raised in Eden Hills. She has two older sisters. Her father was a swimming-pool salesman, while her mother was an aged care provider. Her parents divorced when she was a child.[3]

Career[]

Snook was interested in the performing arts from a young age. Her first professional on screen appearance came in 2009, when she had a guest spot on the Australian medical drama "All Saints" (Seven Network, 1998-2009). She earned accolades for her role in the TV movie "Sisters of War" (ABC1, 2010), playing an army nurse who was kept as a prisoner of war during WWII.
