Rebecca Moesta wanted to be an author since her early teens, but it wasn't until 1991 that she began writing in earnest. With her husband, Kevin J. Anderson, she has written a movie novelization for Supernova (May 2000), two young adult Titan A.E. novels, Cale's Story and Akima's Story (May 2000), two high-tech pop-up books, and a series of fourteen young adult Star Wars novels.
Moesta has written several science fiction stories, both on her own and with her husband, and cowritten three science fiction and fantasy novels under a pseudonym. In addition to her many fiction credits, she has had photographs, computer art, and nonfiction articles published in numerous science fiction magazines. She has also authored three novels in the Junior Jedi Knights series.

Rebecca Moesta is the author of several science fiction books. Although born in Germany, Rebecca was born to American parents and raised in Pasadena, California, where she lived until her early twenties. Rebecca graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Cal State L.A.. and shortly after graduation married a former classmate from Caltech, becoming Rebecca Moesta Cowan.
In 1981, the couple moved to New Haven, Connecticut, where they lived for one year until they moved to Darmstadt, Germany, until 1987. In Germany Rebecca took graduate courses with Boston University and earned a Master of Science degree in Business Administration. Rebecca Moesta (pronounced MESS-tuh) is the bestselling author of many science fiction and fantasy books, both solo and in collaboration with her husband, Kevin J. Anderson.
Her solo work includes novels in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Junior Jedi Knights series, short stories, nonfiction articles, and ghost writing, as well as editing anthologies.
With Kevin, she wrote the Crystal Doors trilogy, fourteen Young Jedi Knights novels, six novelizations of movies and games, lyrics for two Roswell Six rock CDs (ProgRock Records), a Star Trek graphic novel (DC/WildStorm), two Star Wars pop-up books, the original graphic novel Grumpy Old Monsters (IDW), and Million Dollar Professionalism for Writers (WordFire Press).
With June Scobee Rodgers, PhD (Founding Chairman of the Challenger Centers for Space Science Education), Rebecca and Kevin developed and wrote the Star Challengers series of novels in order to teach STEM principles and promote interest in science and technology among middle grade students.
