As the first classical brass soloist to ever receive the Order of Canada, Jens Lindemann developed Brassfire in 2006 at the Banff Centre. Offering an innovative approach to concert presentation, Brassfire has toured all over the world since then from Los Angeles, London, Moscow, Toronto, Montreal, Israel and beyond. It is an interactive performance celebrating the rich musical history of the trumpet in particular.

Brassfire embraces everything from Bach, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong to the warm Argentinian sounds of Piazzola, contemporary pop star Sting, Latin salsas, and swinging big band grooves. Brassfire is a complete stylistic performance presented by one of the most versatile players in history and the “International Brass Personality of the Year” –Brass Herald

Along with his stellar trio of world-class players, Thomas Lang (drums), Kristian Alexandrov (keyboard) and Jeremy Coates (bass), Brassfire is an entirely unique concert experience.
