In a significant development for cricket enthusiasts in the region, ANN News In Collaboration With J&K Sports Council has successfully concluded auditions for commentators for the upcoming J&K Qualifier League, the first-ever cricket tournament to be professionally televised in Kashmir, following the pattern of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Out of a pool of 200 talented commentators, Irfan Ahmed Bhat and Nisar Ahmad Baba have been selected to provide live commentary for the exciting matches.
This auditions initiative, taken by ANN News in Collaboration with Sports Council J&k , marks a milestone for the region, aiming to promote the involvement of youth in sports broadcasting. Recognizing the potential and passion among the aspiring commentators in Jammu and Kashmir, the auditions attracted numerous nominations from across the state.
