HIS EARLY LIFE
Brigadier (Ret.) Julius Maada Bio was born on 12thMay, 1964 in Tihun, a rural town in Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District, not far from Mattru Jong, in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone.
He is from a family of 45 members, his father and mother, eight step mothers and thirty-four brothers and sisters.
His father was the late Paramount Chief Charlie Bio II of Sogbini Chiefdom who kept very over-extended family ties even by African standards. PC Charlie Bio II named Maada Bio after his own father [Maada Bio’s grandfather], who was paramount chief of Sogbini Chiefdom before him. Young Maada Bio attended the Roman Catholic Primary School in Mattru Jong and later the Holy Family Primary School in Pujehun.

Fatima Maada Bio (néeJabbe; born 27 November 1980), known simply as Fatima Bio, is a Sierra Leonean former actress, screenwriter and film producer who has served in the role of first lady of Sierra Leone, as the wife of President Julius Maada Bio since 2018.[1]
As an actress, Bio participated in various Nollywood movie projects, as well as other acting projects in the United Kingdom. She hails from Sierra Leone's Kono District, in the southeastern part of the country; however, part of her heritage is Gambian.[2]
Early life and education
Fatima Jabbe was born in Koidu, Kono District, to Tigidankay and Umar Jabbie on 27 November 1980. Her mother is Sierra Leonean and her father is Gambian. She was raised in a Muslim family and remains a devout Muslim herself.[1][2] She grew up in Kono and attended primary school at the Ansarul Islamic School. She later went to St Joseph's "Convent" Secondary School in Freetown.[1]

John K. Yambasu (24 August 1956 - 16 August 2020) was a Sierra Leonean Bishop of the United Methodist Church. He was elected Bishop in 2008 and became one of Sierra Leone's "most illustrious religious personalities."[1] In 2019 he was instrumental in negotiating a proposed agreement to resolve conflicts in the worldwide church, but because of COVID-19 the proposal had not yet been approved before his death. He died in a road accident on August 16, 2020.[2]
