After graduating from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi in 2002, Amit Aggarwal showcased his collections through student competitions around the world and soon began working with some of India’s most accomplished designers, such as Tarun Tahiliani. He then headed the design team of Creative Impex, part of the Creative Group, before starting MORPHE in 2008, in collaboration with the Creative Group. In May 2012, he launched his eponymous label ‘Amit Aggarwal’.
His debut fashion show at India Fashion Week was heralded as one of the best shows of 2012 by Vogue India, while Marie Claire India and Elle India both announced him as the best young Indian designer. He was invited by the Dutch DFA to Amsterdam to be part of a design delegation and is a finalist for the British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur Award.

Amit Chaudhuri is the author of seven novels, the latest of which is Friend of My Youth. His most recent book, Finding the Raga, is a work of non-fiction in which he explores his relationship to, and understanding of, North Indian classical music. He is also an essayist, poet, short story writer, singer and composer. James Wood, writing about Chaudhuri in the New Yorker in 2015, said, ‘He has beautifully practiced that “refutation of the spectacular” throughout his career, both as a novelist and as a critic . . . Chaudhuri has made the best case for his aesthetic preferences in his own measured, subtle, light-footed fiction.’ Writing about him in 1993, Wood had said in the Guardian, ‘Chaudhuri writes radiantly exact prose’.
He has written three books of poems: St Cyril Road and other Poems, Sweet Shop and Ramanujan. He has three books of essays: Clearing a Space, Telling Tales and The Origins of Dislike. Among the books he has edited is the Picador/Vintage Book of Modern Indian Literature.

Amit Kumar (born 3 July 1952) is an Indian playback singer, actor, music composer. Kumar launched his own music production company, named Kumar Brothers Music. He predominantly worked in Bollywood and regional film songs since the 1970s, including 150 Hindi and Bengali compositions by R. D. Burman. After Burman's death in 1994, citing a lack of quality music composition, Kumar withdrew from playback singing and concentrated on live orchestra shows. In addition to singing in Hindi, has also performed in Bengali, Bhojpuri, Odia, Assamese, Marathi and Konkani. He is the eldest son of singer-actor Kishore Kumar.[2][1]
