Carol Denise "Niecy" Nash-Betts (née Ensley) is an American actress, comedian, television host, producer, and director. She portrays Lois Tryon on FX's horror drama Grotesquerie, in addition to being an executive producer on the series.
Biography[]
Born Carol Denise Ensley in during the 1970s, Nash grew up in South Central Los Angeles and attended California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California. Her first professional acting role came when she appeared in the 1995 comedy-drama film Boys on the Side, starring Whoopi Goldberg. From there, she would land minor roles in various television series, such as Malcolm & Eddie, One on One, Reba, Girlfriends, That's So Raven, and The Bernie Mac Show. In additional to live action, she has done extensive voice acting as well for notable shows and films, including Here Comes Peter Cottontail: The Movie, The Boondocks, Horton Hears a Who!, Family Guy, and American Dad!, in which she portrays multiple
